There is some general misconception about role of medical doctors, homeopaths,
naturopaths, and healers.
I try to write a very sort note
the rest you are welcome to do study of your own.
1 - General practitioner or better
called medical doctors and homeopaths do not have any course about nutrition,
natural or herbal medicines.
This is a general practice in all
western universities including South African universities.
Therefore if your if you ask your
medical doctors about these type of treatments the honest answer is : "I do not
know" it is better you ask an specialist.
Medical doctors are not allowed to refer
a patient to a none medical doctor. For example a medical doctor is not allowed
to refer a patient to a Homeopath or a Healer.
2 - Homeopathy is not using natural
medicines. It is only about 150 years old and they use extremely diluted
and potentised ( beaten) substance. Though some of these substances are
poisonous the homeopathy medicines are considered safe because they are
extremely diluted in general only information reaches the body.
Homeopath is not recognized by medical
doctors and universities. This is the reason in South Africa only Technikons
teach homeopathy. they also have not study pharmaceutical medicine and are
against using chemical medicines.
3 - Naturopaths are the one who study
natural medicine and diet.
4 - Nutritionists and dietitians are the
one study food and diet.
5 - Healers are one that do not have any academic degree.
They are categorized in many different classes like Traditional western,
Chinese, middle eastern, Indian, African, American Indian and ............
The later generation of healers are Kinesiology, Reiki,
